On this adventure you will take the country back roads through farmlands, across rivers, along the base of the Arenal Volcano and trails bordering the lake. You’ll experience what’s considered to be one of the best rides in Costa Rica.

Your friendly guide will provide the necessary gear for your adventure along with safety instructions during your ride!
Get great views of the breathtaking Arenal Volcano as you pass rainforests, rural farmlands, and wildlife while biking along the largest Lake in Costa Rica, Lake Arenal. You’ll have the chance to see different kinds of monkeys, toucans, coatimundis and more!
You will bike on a gravel road that stretches 24 km in total. An excellent opportunity to challenge your limits by crossing the Caño Negro River and different streams towards Rio Chiquito, and you’ll be surprised by the beautiful landscapes.
There will always be a support vehicle nearby giving you further assistance throughout this amazing outdoor activity.
This mountain biking trail is a perfect sport for people of all ages and all skill levels including athletic backgrounds. We accommodate our tour according to your ability and climate conditions.
After a day full of nature, adventure, and delicious snacks, we’ll drive you back to your hotel on our comfortable, air-conditioned vans with FREE WiFi!

We pick up from hotels, condos and private residences in the following areas:
- Transportation is Included from La Fortuna town & La Palma Zone 1
- Transportation from La Fortuna Hotels Zone 2 – $20 extra per booking
- Transportation from La Fortuna Hotels Zone 3 – $30 extra per booking
Please provide the exact name of your hotel, house or condo upon booking, as well as a google maps link. If your hotel, house, or condo is not included, we will provide you with the closest meeting location or pick up fee.
Pick ups begin approximately 45 minutes before the start of your tour. We will send you an official pick up time the day before the tour. Please be ready outside 10 minutes before your scheduled pick up time, but it can take up to 10 minutes longer depending on the day’s pick up schedule and traffic
Special Notes
- The minimum to operate the shared tour is 2 people, if we don’t meet the minimum we will send options 1 or 2 days before
- Children must be accompanied by an adult
- We operate this tour rain or shine! In the event of severe weather, we will contact you with options.
- Not recommended for participants with heart complaints or other serious medical conditions
- Age limit – Minimum 10 years old
- Moderately difficult. There can be no issue for inexperienced riders however some parts are proven to be more difficult than others.
