Tamarindo’s most meticulously maintained vessel, manned by the most experienced crew and the finest tackle available. 31′ Bertram boats have withstood the test of time and have become unquestionably one of the most prolific pieces of big game fishing legend and lore. Designed by Ray Hunt and Richard Bertram originally as an open-ocean race hull in the late 1960’s and later converted into the cruisers and sportfishing vessels you see today, these boats are consider to be incredibly ahead of their time and it is believed that almost 90% of the legendary “Moppies” still roam the world’s oceans today.

Tamarindo Sportfishing 31′ Bertram Details
Full Day: During the full day charter we target Offshore fisheries. Runs to the fishing grounds vary based on previous catch, current fishing reports, and sea conditions. Sailfish, Marlin, and Pelagic species are specifically targeted.
Half Day: It generally consists of targeting Near Shore species through trolling, bottom fishing, Jigging, and live bait techniques focusing on productive areas and bottom structure. Runs are very short. Half day fishing is not recommended during windy periods.
3/4 Day: Our target in this charter is Offshore and Bottom-Fishing fisheries. Runs to the fishing grounds vary based on previous catch, current fishing reports, and sea conditions.

Special Notes
- You can keep your fish! There is a strict catch and release policy on billfish
- Costa Rica requires that all anglers purchase and carry a valid Costa Rica fishing license. You will be required to purchase your Costa Rica fishing license from the INCOPESCA and it costs $15 per person.
- Please note that no mater the conditions we are most always able to find productive fishing grounds. We will work tirelessly to provide you and your guests a day full of action and enjoyment, even if it means running farther, turning the stereo up louder, changing up our original game plan, or targeting other species of fish offshore, near shore, or on the bottom.
Cancellation Policy
- You may cancel free of charge up 14 Days before start of the tour.
Cancellations less than 14 Days before the start of the tour will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge. Extreme cases are taken into consideration.
