One of the most popular activities to do when visiting Guanacaste Costa Rica is zip-lining. At the Congo Trail Canopy Tour you will experience authentic Costa Rica and explore natural forests that have existed for hundreds of years nestled in this quiet enclave of Central America.
Your adventure begins with a warm welcome at our base camp in Guanacaste, where experienced guides will provide a safety briefing and outfit you with all necessary gear.
Set off on a guided jungle trek through the lush forests of Papagayo. Keep your eyes peeled for sightings of native wildlife such as howler monkeys, colorful birds, and iguanas as you make your way to the first zipline platform.
Hang up on the line and take the leap of faith as you launch from the first platform. Feel the rush of adrenaline as you zip through the canopy, gliding effortlessly from one platform to the next. With a total of 11 cables to conquer, each offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape, you’ll experience the thrill of flight like never before.
Test your nerve as you traverse three hanging bridges suspended high above the forest floor. Feel the sway beneath your feet as you navigate these exhilarating crossings, offering unique perspectives of the jungle below.

Pick up times above are an estimate & begin 30 minutes to 1 hour before the tour start time depending on your location. We will contact you with a more accurate pick up time the day before the tour. Please be ready outside 5 minutes before your scheduled pick up time, but it can take up to 15 minutes longer depending on the day’s pick up schedule and traffic.
Special Notes
- Weight Limit Zipline – 240 pounds – The zipline limit is established not so much by the weight itself, but by the dimensions of the safety equipment that the person must carry. It is crucial that the equipment fits correctly around the waist and legs to ensure the safety of the participant. (harness size 46)
- Age Limit Zipline – 2 years old minimum (tandem with guide)
- If you want to bring your cell phone or keys on tour, please understand we are not responsible for loss or damage.
- We operate this tour rain or shine! If weather is severe, we may cancel and you will be given a refund or you may reschedule
Not permitted:
- use or under the effect of drugs or alcohol.
- use of the machines if you have had recent surgery or current physical injuries
- you struggle with Heart problems/difficulties
- women in a state of pregnancy
