Costa Rica is blessed with some of the best fishing in the world. While made famous by its offshore fishing based out of the NEW Flamingo Marina, Costa Rica also offers some of the most exciting inshore fishing in the world.

We offer a half day of inshore fishing around the beautiful islands off the coast of Flamingo. Depends of the season we angle for mahi-mahi, Pacific Tuna, Yellowfin tuna, jack carvelle and the pride of Costa Rica waters, the Rooster fish (a great fighting fish that will leave your arms tired and a smile on your face). All of our Flamingo fishing trips include a cooler filled with ice cold drinks and snacks.

Our boat 22ft Sea Hunt (with a very small bathroom) come fully equipped with all gear and tackle. Our captains and crew are experienced fisherman intimately familiar with these waters. You only need to bring sunscreen and some muscle to land your giant catch!

Due to its extreme proximity to the Pacific Continental Shelf, Flamingo enjoys close access to deep-water fishing. Many of the grandest sport fish enjoy these segue regions between coastal waters and the open ocean. This is just another of Costa Rica’s natural wonders. Inshore or offshore, our Costa Rican fishing trips are the angling experience of a lifetime.

Flamingo Sportfishing 22’ Seahunt Details

Full Day: Start fishing right off the Playa Flamingo area in the early morning or afternoon. Depending on the conditions, you’ll go to the best fishing spots in the area trolling, as well as bottom fishing for Grouper and tasty Snapper.

You can also target species like Wahoo, Tuna, Amberjack, Roosterfish, Sailfish, and Jack Crevalle. All you need to bring is some sun protection and your sense of adventure and you’re ready to explore these blue waters!

Half Day: On our half day inshore trips we angle for Mahi Mahi, Cubera Snapper, Yellowfin Tuna, Jack Crevalle, and the pride of Costa Rica waters, the Roosterfish (a great fighting fish that will leave your arms tired and a smile on your face).

You can keep your fish! There is a strict catch and release policy on billfish

Cancellation Policy

You may cancel free of charge up 15 Days before start of the tour.
Cancellations less than 15 Days before the start of the tour will be subject to a 100% cancellation charge. Extreme cases are taken into consideration.

Boat Specs

Sea Hunt (Center console) originally built in 2006, and restored in 2020. Powered by a 200HP Suzuki engine, with a maximum cruising speed of 30 knots.
