We’ll pick you up at your hotel in La Fortuna town and travel through small Costa Rican villages to the quaint town of San Miguel to start your EXTREME Sarapiqui river rafting experience.
Build up the anticipation as you receive your safety gear and instructions on the banks of the Sarapiqui River!
Our “paparrazzi” photographer will be ready to snap the best shots as you embark on your Costa Rica rafting adventure.
You’ll hit the water and your adrenaline levels will soar as you experience over 40 exciting rapids along 22 km of lush, vibrant rainforest! Feel the rush of excitement as you tackle these class-4 rapids like “The Terminator” and “Dos Locos.”
Take a break about half-way down the river and enjoy a refreshing tropical fruit snack as you take in the beauty of the nature surrounding you. Feel free to go for a swim or just relax with the rest of the group!

When you reach the end, you’ll enjoy a delicious lunch before heading back to your hotel in our comfortable air-conditioned van.

Special Notes
- Arenal rafting involves inherent risk and you should be in good phyisical condition with no prior injury or medical condition such as asthma, heart issues, pregnancy, etc.
- We sell dry bags and Chums sunglass holders, river shoes and commemorative souvenir Rio Sarapiqui t-shirts at our office in our store in case you need any last-minute supplies.
- We have an extra transport charge for hotels outside of our normal pick-up zone.
